Who We Are
Our Story
CAST Transportation traces its roots back to 1948, when husband and wife Richard H. and Lois "Lody" Eshe founded South Park Motor Lines. The two built the business together as true partners: Richard spent his days behind the wheel, while Lody kept the office running smoothly and even stepped in to drive when the workload demanded it. That hands-on partnership and shared love of the trucking industry became the foundation the company was built on—and it didn't stop with them. Their son, Richard "Rick" Eshe, grew up immersed in the family business and went on to purchase South Park Motor Lines from Lody in 1976, carrying the family legacy forward. He remains the owner to this day. Under Rick's leadership, the company evolved alongside its ambitions. In the late 1970s, it was rebranded as Colorado All State Transportation, reflecting its growing reach beyond a single region. By the early 1990s, customers had taken to calling the company "CAST" for short, and the name stuck—officially becoming CAST Transportation. Since then, Rick has guided CAST to the top of the trucking industry, building a company that now serves customers nationwide. Headquartered on 35 acres in Henderson, Colorado, just northeast of downtown Denver, CAST Transportation stands ready to handle it all—a testament to nearly eight decades of family dedication to the road.
Our History
78 Years in the Making
1948
Founded
CAST Transportation started out as South Park Motor Lines. The company was founded in 1948 by husband and wife, Richard H. and Lois “Lody” Eshe. Lody and Richard had their routine down. While Richard drove trucks, Lody ran the office and at times was recruited as a driver when work piled up. They made a great team!
1976
Richard "Rick" Eshe
The couple passed this passion of trucking on to their son, Richard “Rick” Eshe. He purchased South Park Motor Lines from his mother, Lody in 1976, and still is owned by Rick to this day.
1990
Renamed to CAST
In the late 70s, Colorado All State Transportation was created. In the early 90s it was shortened down to CAST, as most of our customers referred to us in the modified way.

Rick and his team have taken CAST and CAST Specialty to the top of the trucking industry serving customers nationwide. CAST is headquartered in Henderson, CO, just northeast of Downtown Denver on 35 acres.
